Michael Roth is an Analyst with Michigan Capital Advisors. Prior to joining Michigan Capital Advisors, Michael spent a year and a half as a Private Wealth Management Staff Assistant at Murray, McCumons & Associates, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial where he performed portfolio analysis and managed more than two hundred client accounts.

Michael is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan where he has participated in a variety of extracurricular activities. He has served in multiple leadership positions for his fraternity, most notably as the Public Relations Chair, and has held executive board positions on the Michigan Foreign Policy Council, as VP of Marketing and most recently as President.

During his time with the Michigan Foreign Policy Council, Michael was an author of two published research papers, with his most notable paper detailing the microeconomic and macroeconomic effects protectionist trade policies have on the United States. As President, Michael led students in conducting empirical social science research and oversaw the successful production of the Michigan Foreign Policy Review Vol. 2, Issue 2. Michael also organized and moderated the first ever Michigan Foreign Policy Panel Discussion with a former United States ambassador and a former senior director on counterterrorism at the National Security Council.

Michael will graduate from Michigan in April of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Entrepreneurship.
